CONTROL PANEL (code DG25)

                   

DG25 is an advanced control panel of the ORGDRIVE system that allows to handle a lot of functions:

• VISUALIZATION OF THE CAPTURES (max 32 pistons - 999 levels)
• DIVISION OF THE TOTAL MEMORY AREA IN PERSONALIZED MEMORY AREAS , PROTECTED BY PASSWORD.
• EXTERNAL BACKUP ON THE KEY MEMORY OF ONE OWN MEMORY AREA

DISPLAY READOUTS (code AGDISP16)
With this display it is possible to visualize up to a maximum of 32 pistons per 999 levels. The maximum number of levels is programmable through the ORGDRIVE configuration programme and it depends on the number of stops and on the number of captures pistons.

DISPLAY READOUTS WITH CHIP CARD (code AGDISP16-CARD)
This function allows to memorize a sequence of captures combinations on a CHIP CARD and to read it subsequently. Controls that are used for these operations correspond to the controls of the general captures (set – cancel – captures pistons).

DISPLAY READOUTS WITH NUMERICAL KEYBOARD (code AGDISP25)
With this display it is possible to visualize up to a maximum of 32 pistons per 999 levels. The maximum number of levels is programmable through the ORGDRIVE configuration programme and it depends on the number of stops and from the number of captures pistons.
Two models are available:

Model A (code AGDISP25-A)
Display for the visualization of the captures with numerical keyboard for direct access to the level. This function allows to enter directly into the desired level typing in the number.
• Model B (code AGDISP25-B)
Display for the visualization of the captures with numerical keyboard for direct access to the level and complete controls. This function allows to manage in a complete way the captures, using the controls SET, CANCEL, CONTINUOUS INCREASE AND DECREASE that are present on the display.

DISPLAY READOUTS WITH NUMERICAL KEYBOARD AND CHIP CARD (code AGDISP25-CARD)
This function allows to memorize a sequence of captures combinations on a CHIP CARD and to read it subsequently. Controls that are used for these operations correspond to the controls of the general captures (set – cancel – captures pistons).
Two models are available (as AGDISP25):

  • Model A (code AGDISP25A-CARD)
  • Model B (code AGDISP25B-CARD)
PROGRAMMABLE CRESCENDO (code CP)

This function allows the organist to programme three different CRESCENDO, different from the STANDARD one (programmed by the organ builder and not modifiable). It is therefore possible to create more types of crescendo, suited to the music performed or simply more consistent with one's own musical taste. The three programmed CRESCENDO can be quickly selected, deleted and modified at any moment.

KEY SELECTOR FOR THE BLOCK OF THE LEVELS (code DAKEY)
This function allows to lock, with a key selector, the levels of the captures.
The locked levels (indicated by the lighted red led on the button) are accessible, but they can't be written any more. In this way the organist can protect his own captures combinations, avoiding that an other user of the organ could overwrite them.

TRANSPOSER SELECTOR (code PTR)


Brass plate with a 8 positions selector to install in console for the transposer function (from -4 to +3 semitones).

SLIDER (for crescendo and expressions) (code SL16)

Rectilinear transducer of position used for passing on the position of the CRESCENTO and EXPRESSIONS pedal to the Orgdrive system.

The use of the SLIDER offers a lot of advantages compared with the traditional counters:

  • Static system and so without any contacts oxidizables.
  • Possibility to programme: max 99 steps for the CRESCENDO, max 127 steps for the EXPRESSIONS.
  • Possibility to programme: max 32 output for the signal lamps (or led) in console.
  • Direct connection to the system with only a connector, without the need to weld any wires and without using any input.
LED BAR (for crescendo and expressions)

Plate for the visualization of the state of the crescendo or expressions. It has a bar with 30 led, available in three different colours: red, yellow, green.

  • Code CR16R - Red led bar - Positive input
  • Code CR16G - Yellow led bar - Positive input
  • Code CR16V - Green led bar - Positive input
  • Code CRCON – Red led bar - Negative input
VISUALIZZATION OF THE POSITION OF THE CRESCENDO WITH A NUMERICAL DISPLAY

For the visualization of the crescendo, instead of the traditional led bar, it is possible to use a 2 numbers NUMERICAL DISPLAY. Through the configuration programme it is possible to programme the number of steps to visualize (00 – 99).

  • Code CRDISP1 – Numerical visualisation of the position of the crescendo.
  • Code CRDISP2 - Numerical visualisation of the position of the crescendo with push-button for the activation.
PLATE DIVISION PEDAL

The function DIVISION OF THE PEDAL allows to separate the pedal into two distinct parts (high part, low part) assigning different stops (unions or couplers) to each one. This plate allows to select and visualize the POINT OF DIVISION and , according to the model, to activate the function of DIVISION OF THE PEDAL.

  • Code ORGDP1 - Selection and visualisation of the POINT OF DIVISION.
  • Code ORGDP2 - Selection and visualisation of the POINT OF DIVISION with button for the activation of the function.
STATIC KEYBOARD WITH HALL SENSORS

With the ORGDRIVE system it is possible to use the STATIC KEYBOARDS WITH HALL SENSORS.
These keyboards, necessary for the proportional systems, can be also used on the on-off systems.
Proposed alternatively to the traditional contacts keyboards (where the attack and release point is fixed), the static keyboards with hall sensors allow to have a variable analogic signal that chance according to the stroke of the key. So it is possible to regulate in an electronic way some data: attack offset, useful stroke of the key, attack point/release point (with fixed attack/release), attack point/hysteresis value (with variable attack/release).

These regulations are made, in a simple and intuitive way, through the use of the ORGDRIVE CONFIGURATION PROGRAMME and, sometime, of the DISPLAY READOUTS. All the regulations can be done independently for each keyboard.

The use of the static keyboards with hall sensors is growing a lot. Many are the advantages in comparison with the use of the contact traditional keyboards.

Advantages:

• Static system with no contacts to oxidise over time (very frequent in damp places or with the presence of salinity in the air).
• Easy of installation and simplicity of wiring (it is no longer necessary to connect the wires from the contacts of the keys to the input    strips but only a small flat cable each keyboard).
• Possibility to regulate the attack offset.
• Possibility to regulate the useful stroke of the key.
• Possibility to regulate the attack and release point (in a fixed way).
• Possibility to regulate the attack and release point (in a variable way).
• Independent regulations for each keyboard.
• Learning from the microprocessor of all signals of the sensors and automatic adjustment without the necessity of calibrations.
• Use of the display readouts (installed on the console) to verify the working of every single key.
• Possibility to connect the display readouts on the ORGMTI strip for an automatic or manual diagnosis of the signals of all sensors    (very useful for the installation and adjustment phase of the HALTA strips).




NEW TRAPSOUND RECORDER WITH USB
                 

The TRAPSOUND recorder is an equipment that allows to do the recording and the reproduction of single pieces or whole concerts on the organ.

Connected through the serial line to the ORGDRIVE unit in console, it memorize and reproduce faithfully the condition of input and output.

Optional very easy to install and very reliable TRAPSOUND offer the following advantages:

• Recording of single pieces or whole concerts.
• Possibility to listen the recorded pieces.
• Store up pieces recorded in the inner memory/storage (max 90 pieces x 99 archives/file).
• Store up pieces on a PC through the use of a FLASH DISK USB key memory and the proper programme “TRAPSOUND MANAGER”.
• Use of the organ for maintenance.
• Use of the organ during ceremonies even during the organist absence.

Moreover, also during the LISTENING function of a recorded piece, the console remains enabled. In this way it is possible to use it in parallel to the recorder, activating or deactivating all the functions and playing at the same time with the piece that one is listening.

The programme "TRAPSOUND MANAGER" allows to store up the recording file of a TRAPSOUND recorder on the hard disk of one's own PC, with the possibility to give to each file useful information concerning the recording (Title, Author, Performer, Category, Liturgical time, Creation date, Comment).

Code TS25USB-IR - TRAPSOUND recorder with remote control by infrareds
Code TS25USB-MR - TRAPSOUND recorder with remote control by radio
Code TS25USB-MRA - TRAPSOUND recorder with remote control by radio and self-starting of the organ.

AUTOMATIC START OF THE ORGAN

Sometimes for starting the TRAPSOUND recorder it can be rather uncomfortable to reach and open the console.

The new TRAPSOUND recorder with automatic starting gives the possibility to start and to switch off the recorder directly with the use of the remote control.


NEW CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SWELL BOX 

The control system ESP10 allows the movement of the shutters of a swell box.

Two models of control system are available:

  • STANDARD CONTROL SYSTEM: For organ where the swell box is driven in an electric way only.
  • FREE ROD CONTROL SYSTEM: For organ where the swell box can be driven both electric and mechanical way.

Speed, precision, sweetness, power, noiselessness and adaptability are the main characteristics of this equipment:

Speed: the revision of the system in 2009 produced a increase of about 25% of the speed. The total stroke of 18 cm is practicable in less than 1 sec.
Precision:
The resolution of the inner potentiometer of position allows to obtain a resolution of 0,8 mm.
Sweetness: The regulation of the acceleration and deceleration ramps allows to give the utmost sweetness, during the leaving and the arrival, to the movement of the shutters.
Power: The robustness of the inner engine and the mechanics allows to obtain a power of 78 N.
Noiseless: The wooden case (25 mm thick) assures a good soundproofing.
Adaptability: Thanks to several regulations that are carried out from the control centre, the system can perfectly adapt itself to every type of swell box.

Moreover the control system in solid oak and plywood assures robustness and elegance and it is easy to integrate in the organ.

TRANSMISSION SYSTEM BY RADIO

The TRANSMISSION SYSTEM BY RADIO allows to do the transmission of data between the MASTER system (console) and the SLAVE system (organ) without the need to use the serial cable. It is enough to install a transmitter inside the console and a receiver inside the organ.

This kind of transmission offers the following advantages:

  • Elimination of the serial cable between the console and the organ, that isn’t always easy to spread out.
  • Possibility to moved the console, without being bound to the length of the cable or to the position of the sockets.

It is also possible to foresee both the transmission by RADIO and the transmission by CABLE.

MIDI INTERFACE
                                

MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a communication language and a regulations of hardware specifications that enables compliant pieces of equipment to communicate with one another.
With the MIDI KIT the ORGDRIVE system can receive and transmit these signals using the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT ports and so connect to other devices like keyboards, personal computers, sequencers, etc.

TUNING KEYBOARD
                  

The TUNING KEYBOARD is an equipment that is used for tuning all the pipes of the organ.
It is able to simulate all the keyboards and all the stops of the console.

Available with 13 and, since 2010, with 61 keys, with or without radio remote control for the shift of notes, the TUNING KEYBOARD gives the following advantages:

• Possibility to tune the organ without the need to have a person to the console (or to act on the connection strips of the output in    organ).
• Practicalness in the displacements in narrow places (Code ORGTA13T – ORGTA13R).
• Possibility to use a small radio remote control for the shift of notes (chromatic, diatonic, minor third, major third)
• Possibility to test the organ during the construction phase.

MODELS:

• Code ORGTA13T – TUNING KEYBOARD with 13 keys
• Code ORGTA13R - TUNING KEYBOARD with 13 keys and radio remote control for the shift of notes
• Code ORGTA61R - TUNING KEYBOARD with 61 keys and radio remote control for the shift of notes
• Code ORGTA61KIT - TUNING KEYBOARD with 61 keys (assembly KIT)

POWER SUPPLIES
                                 

A wide range of SINGLE-PHASE and THREE-PHASE POWER SUPPLIES, with levelling off of the output current, is available.

Strength and reliability are the main characteristics of these equipments. They are made by a firm that is specialized in the field of electro-mechanics.
All the models are fitted with regulation power connections on the primary of the transformer for calibrating the output voltage. In addition to the input and output protection fuses, the transformers have a shield between primary and secondary to connect on the ground for the protection against the lightning.

The available models are different, depending on the maximum current absorbed, the output voltage and the mechanical layout of the components. The solutions that we suggest are the aluminium plate for the smaller power supplies and plate with grid shade or box for the bigger ones.

CONTROL CARD FOR THE MAGNETS OF THE STOPS

Control card for the magnets that pull the slider of the stops with regulation of the control force.

MODELS:

• Code ORGMARE - control card for the magnets of the stops.
• Code ORGMAREV – control card for the magnets of the vertical stops.

It can happen that, for organ needs, some windchests are placed in a vertical way. The sliders of the stops will have to be supported by magnets also after the initial impulse of 0,8 sec. Otherwise, after the initial impulse, the slider will return to the original position because of the force of gravity.

The CONTROL CARD FOR THE MAGNETS OF THE VERTICAL STOPS allows to regulate, besides the CONTROL FORCE, also the MAINTENANCE CURRENT that is a current that keeps the magnet pull in a permanent way when the stop is active. This current can be regulated with a potentiometer a depending on the need.
