CONTROL BOARD with AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT
FOR SLIDER ACTION SOLENOIDS

The new control board with AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT for the slider action solenoids of the stops allows to solve some problems related to this application.

The pulling force of the solenoids is not adjust manually any more, but it is enough to set the movement time.
Thanks to a position sensor, it will be the board to adjust, in a completely automatic way, the force required to do the movement in the established time, according to the friction conditions of the slider.
It's well known, that these conditions can change according to the humidity, the temperature and the consequent movements of the wood.
It is also possible to adjust the stop point of the solenoids and the following sweet approach at the end of the stroke, so that the magnet does not hit at full speed on its mechanical stop, causing noise.

Here are the three big advantages of this new control board:

  • Thanks to the automatic adjustment of the force, the slider will always move (despite the change of the friction conditions inside the windchest).
  • Thanks the adjustment of the movement time, all the slider of the stops will move in a synchronized way, avoiding separate entries of various stops.
  • Thanks the adjustment of the stop point and following approach, it will not be heard any noise of stops insertion anymore (especially when captures combinations very rich in stops and functions as Tutti are inserted).
TRAPSOUND JUKEBOX


"Trapsound JUKEBOX" is an equipment that allows to listen, for a fee, a piece played by the organ.

This equipment, as the more well-known JUKEBOX, allows to select the wished piece from an archives of 90 pieces at maximum.

The selection of a piece happens by the help of a display TFT 5,7' and some buttons.
A coin validator allows to insert some coins and a key selector allows to select the desired working mode.

SPEECH SYNTHESIS for DGTouch


The new SPEECH SYNTHESIS system of theDGTouch allows to reproduce vocally all the operations done on the console, helping the learning and the use by the blind organist.

All the controls of the console can be reproduced vocally: stops, captures, crescendo, expression, tuttis, fixed combinations, transposer, pedal division, different functions, etc.
Two working modes, one automatic and one manual, allow to better handle the different phases of work on the organ: the learning of the console and the following use.

The reproduction happens through a loudspeaker. An headphones output is also available.

DGTouch
 

 

 

DGTouch is the new CONTROL PANEL of the ORGDRIVE system.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HARDWARE:

MAIN UNIT : It is connected to the ORGDRIVE unit by a 26 conductors shielded cable. It has the mother board and a connection back panel for:

  • Display SETTING (master): TFT 5,7' touch screen
    It allows to handle all the operations, the setting, the adjustments, that it is possible to carry out with the system. It can be used as an one and only display or with a visualization display.
  • Display VISUALIZATION (slave): TFT 5,7'- 3,5'
    It visualizes only the useful information for the organist that is playing. It must be installed in a well visible place of the console.
  • iButton
    Access key to one personalized memory area, as an alternative to the insertion of the access code.
  • Connectors USB type A – B
    Brought to the extension on the console they allow to carry out the backup operations on a USB key and the connection with the PC.
  • Temperature sensor
    It allows to have the information of the temperature on the display.
  • 8 inputs / 8 outputs (buttons with lamp)
    These buttons that can be inserted in consolle, can be used for doubling some function keys of the display SETTING, making the effect more immediate. They are configurable.
  • External keyboard (8 x 8)
    To use with the display SETTING.

 

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LOGICIEL:

CAPTURES

  • Four memory folders:GENERAL CAPTURES, DIVISIONAL CAPTURES, ARCHIVES PIECES, ARCHIVES CONCERTS.
  • Maximum number of combinations for GENERAL CAPTURES: 32 x 9999 = 319968 (programmable)
  • Two modes of visualization for the GENERAL CAPTURES, quickly interchangeable:
    Level mode: COMBINATION = PISTON x LEVEL (32 x 9999)
    Continuous mode: COMBINATION = n° COMBINATIONS (from 1 to 319968)
  • Keyboard for direct access to the level/combination
  • Setting of visualization:
    Level right / Piston left - Level left / Piston right

    Numerical piston - Literal piston
    Literal insertion - Numerical insertion
  • Creation and management of an ARCHIVES PIECES (PIECE = the set of one ore more combinations for the execution of a single piece).
  • Creation and management of an ARCHIVES CONCERT (CONCERT = the set of one ore more PIECE for the execution of a concert).
  • INSERTION of a combination (max 5 between a combination and the following one) without the movement of the whole memory area, but with the insertion of an apex (ex: 1,1A,1B,1C,1D,1E,2 etc.).
  • DELETION of a combination without the mouvement of the whole memory area, but with the creation of a memory hole (ex: 1, 3, etc.).
  • Function of RENUMBERING of the memory, with expansion of the inserted combinations and compaction of the deleted combination.
  • Division of the total memory area in more PERSONALIZED MEMORY AREAS, protected by a password. It has provided for a not protected common memory area, accessible to all.
  • DATA BACKUP of each single PERSONALIZED MEMORY AREA on a USB standard key with the possibility of restoration of the data .
  • Connection with PC through a USB cable for remote management of the combination captures.

PROGRAMMABLE CRESCENDO

  • Management of 4 CRESCENDO for each memory area: 1 standard (programmed by the organ-builder), 3 PROGRAMMABLE (by the organist)
  • Enabling button on the setting display

TRANSPOSER

  • Tone transposer ( - 4, +3 )

KEYBOARDS

  • Setting of the parameters of the KEYBOARDS (attack point, release point).
  • Management of the function EXCHANGE KEYBOARDS

TRAPSOUND PROGRAMMER


“Trapsound PROGRAMMER”
is a time programmer of events: it allows to plan the automatic playing of one or more pieces at a certain time on a given day.

The fields of application of this equipment can be several:

  • Use of the organ for maintenance and preservation (for example on organs which have played little, whose lack of use, with the passing of time, compromises its working).
  • Use of the organ for the enhancement of itself and the environment in which it is located (for example in places of tourist interest, where it is often possible to see the organ as an aesthetic monument, but one can't appreciate the most important features: the sound.
  • .Listening to recorded pieces without direct access to the console and using the Trapsound recorder.

The potential of the "Trapsound PROGRAMMER" are added to those of the "Recorder TRAPSOUND", offering a more complete product and able to meet the needs of the final user.


WORKING

First of all it is important to create an archives of pieces from which to take for the programming.
Pieces must be first recorded on an organ with the "TRAPSOUND Recorder", stored and named with the "Trapsound MANAGER" programme.

All the programming operations are executed on the terminal of the "Trapsound PROGRAMMER, a TFT 5.7' touch screen monitor, which, thanks to its simple and intuitive graphical interface, offers ease of use and immediacy of understanding.

Furthermore, the big flexibility of the programming system, allows to create personalized programmes with different levels of priority, according to the desires of the location and period of the year..

Once the programming is done and the desired programmes are enabled, it is "Trapsound PROGRAMMER" that thinks to start the organ at the right time, to control the execution of one or more pieces and finally to switch off the organ after the playing.
In case "Trapsound PROGRAMMER" finds the console (and so the organ) that is already started, no control is executed, even if it is programmed. The manual use of the organ is always priority on the automatic one.

NEW CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SWELL BOX

The control system ESP10 allows the movement of the shutters of a swell box.

Two models of control system are available:

  • STANDARD CONTROL SYSTEM: For organ where the swell box is driven in an electric way only.
  • FREE ROD CONTROL SYSTEM: For organ where the swell box can be driven both electric and mechanical way.

Speed, precision, sweetness, power, noiselessness and adaptability are the main characteristics of this equipment:

Speed: the revision of the system in 2009 produced a increase of about 25% of the speed. The total stroke of 18 cm is practicable in less than 1 sec.
Precision:
The resolution of the inner potentiometer of position allows to obtain a resolution of 0,8 mm.
Sweetness: The regulation of the acceleration and deceleration ramps allows to give the utmost sweetness, during the leaving and the arrival, to the movement of the shutters.
Power: The robustness of the inner engine and the mechanics allows to obtain a power of 78 N.
Noiseless: The wooden case (25 mm thick) assures a good soundproofing.
Adaptability: Thanks to several regulations that are carried out from the control centre, the system can perfectly adapt itself to every type of swell box.

Moreover the control system in solid oak and plywood assures robustness and elegance and it is easy to integrate in the organ.

NEW TRAPSOUND RECORDER WITH USB
                 

The TRAPSOUND recorder is an equipment that allows to do the recording and the reproduction of single pieces or whole concerts on the organ.

Connected through the serial line to the ORGDRIVE unit in console, it memorize and reproduce faithfully the condition of input and output.

Optional very easy to install and very reliable TRAPSOUND offer the following advantages:

• Recording of single pieces or whole concerts.
• Possibility to listen the recorded pieces.
• Store up pieces recorded in the inner memory/storage (max 90 pieces x 99 archives/file).
• Store up pieces on a PC through the use of a FLASH DISK USB key memory and the proper programme “TRAPSOUND MANAGER”.
• Use of the organ for maintenance.
• Use of the organ during ceremonies even during the organist absence.

Moreover, also during the LISTENING function of a recorded piece, the console remains enabled. In this way it is possible to use it in parallel to the recorder, activating or deactivating all the functions and playing at the same time with the piece that one is listening.

The programme "TRAPSOUND MANAGER" allows to store up the recording file of a TRAPSOUND recorder on the hard disk of one's own PC, with the possibility to give to each file useful information concerning the recording (Title, Author, Performer, Category, Liturgical time, Creation date, Comment).

AUTOMATIC START OF THE ORGAN

Sometimes for starting the TRAPSOUND recorder it can be rather uncomfortable to reach and open the console.

The new TRAPSOUND recorder with automatic starting gives the possibility to start and to switch off the recorder directly with the use of the remote control.

NEW TUNING KEYBOARD 61 KEYS

The TUNING KEYBOARD is an equipment that is used for tuning all the pipes of the organ. It is able to simulate all the keyboards and all the stops of the console.

Available with 13 and, since 2010, with 61 keys, with or without radio remote control for the shift of notes, the TUNING KEYBOARD gives the following advantages:

  • Possibility to tune the organ without the need to have a person to the console (or to act on the connection strips of the output in organ).
  • Practicalness in the displacement in narrow places (Code ORGTA13T – ORGTA13R).
  • Possibility to use a small radio remote control for the shift of notes (chromatic, diatonic, minor third, major third).
  • Possibility to test the organ during the construction phase.
NEW VERTICAL STOPS CONTROL CARD

It can happen that for organ needs, some windchests are placed vertically. The slider of the stops, will have therefore to be supported by magnets also after the starting impulse of 0,8 sec. Otherwise, after the starting impulse, the slider come back in the original position because of the force of gravity.

The VERTICAL STOPS CONTROL CARD allows to set, besides the PULLING FORCE, the MAINTENANCE CURRENT, I mean a current that keeps the magnet active in a permanent way when the stop is active. This current can be regulated with a potentiometer according to the need.

NEW REGULATION CARD FOR HALL SENSORS

The new HALTA TEST card allows to make the regulation of hall sensors of a HALTA card without the need to use ORGDRIVE system.

It can happen, that the sensors could be regulated only during the manufacture and assembly phase of the keyboards and not later.

However, often, at the moment of the manufacture of manuals and the installation of cards with HALL sensors, the organ-builder has not completely installed the ORGDRIVE system yet. Sometimes he even hasn't the system yet.

The test card HALTA TEST allows to displayed the values of each single sensor, to do an learning and to do a series of additional test without need the ORGDRIVE system: it is enough to connect the cable of the HALTA sensors card to the connector that is on the HALTA TEST card.

POWER SUPPLIES
                                            

A wide range of SINGLE-PHASE and THREE-PHASE POWER SUPPLIES, with levelling off of the output current, is available.

Strength and reliability are the main characteristics of these equipments. They are made by a firm that is specialized in the field of electro-mechanics.
All the models are fitted with regulation power connections on the primary of the transformer for calibrating the output voltage. In addition to the input and output protection fuses, the transformers have a shield between primary and secondary to connect on the ground for the protection against the lightning.
The available models are different, depending on the maximum current absorbed, the output voltage and the mechanical layout of the components. The solutions that we suggest are the aluminium plate for the smaller power supplies and plate with grid shade or box for the bigger ones.

NEW UTILITY CARDS
                                         

A wide range of utility cards is available:

  • Inverter cards
    POSITIVE Input – NEGATIVE Output
    NEGATIVE Input – POSITIVE Output
    NEGATIVE Input – NEGATIVE FALSE Output
    POSITIVE Input – POSITIVE FALSE Output

  • Control card for push-button stops with lamp
    This card is used when on an organ with the stops keys fitted with magnets, it needs to add further stops, unions or couplers with push button control.
  • Control card for sliding stops
    This card is used when in an organ there are couples of keys stops that control the same stop and these keys stop mustn't ever work at the same time.
  • Control card for keys stops with reverser control
    If there are not any captures the ORGDRIVE configuration programme disables the function of the reverser. This card can be used on the organs without captures (or with the free combination), when the function of reverser is required.






NEW ARCHIVES SOFTWARE  "TRAPSOUND MANAGER"
                         

The programme "TRAPSOUND MANAGER" allows to store up the recording file of a TRAPSOUND recorder on the hard disk of one's own PC, with the possibility to give to each file useful information concerning the recording (Title, Author, Performer, Category, Liturgical time, Creation date, Comment). Then these file can be organized in listen folders ready to be reproduced by the TRAPSOUND recorder.

The main functions of the programme are three:

Import record: [Flash disk USB] > [Archives PC]
Display record folder: [Archives PC]
Create new listen folder: [Archives PC] > [Flash disk USB]

Available in Italian, English and French, "TRAPSOUND MANAGER" also allows to make the printing of a printout that contains the list of the file (and the additional relevant information) of the PC data base and of the listen folders.

NEW SOFTWARE FUNCTIONS OF THE SYSTEM ORGDRIVE CP25

             

INSERTION AND CANCELLATION OF A COMBINATION
It allows to insert or cancel a capture combination between two already memorized combinations.


SOSTENUTO
Modality ADDITION: the notes add one another.
Modality REMPLACEMENT: one note excludes the other one.

DIVISION OF THE PEDAL
The function DIVISION OF THE PEDAL allows to separate the pedal into two distinct parts (high part, low part) assigning different stops (unions or couplers) to each one. Two functions of DIVISION OF THE PEDAL are foreseen.

SOPRANO, BASS
The function of SOPRANO is a particular type of union. It takes the highest note (SOPRANO) that one is playing on a keyboard (SOURCE KEYBOARD) and copies it on another keyboard (DESTINATION KEYBOARD).

The function of BASS (or
melodic pedal) is a particular type of union. It takes the lowest note (BASS) that one is playing on a keyboard (SOURCE KEYBOARD) and copies it on another keyboard (DESTINATION KEYBOARD).

VISUALISATION OF THE CRESCENDO WITH NUMERICAL DISPLAY
For the visualization of the crescendo, instead of the traditional led bar, it is possible to use a 2 numbers NUMERICAL DISPLAY. Through the configuration programme it is possible to programme the number of steps to visualize (00 – 99).

VARIABLE POINT OF ATTACK AND RELEASE (OF THE KEYBOARDS)
The regulation of an hysteresis value allows to have a variable attack/release point for the whole stroke of the key.
